Nareit Health and Safety Protocols and Assumption of Risk

The health and safety of REITworld participants, Nareit staff, and hotel personnel is a top priority for Nareit. 

During REITworld, Nareit will follow and adhere to all Clark County, Nevada and venue mandates as it relates to COVID-19. 

The following protocols will be implemented on site to help keep REITworld conference attendees safe.Nareit recognizes that even diligent efforts to follow public health guidance and orders cannot guarantee that REITworld attendees will not contract or transmit the virus that causes COVID-19, even if the participants have been vaccinated against COVID-19, and that participants or those they encounter face risks of infection from this potentially deadly disease as a result of traveling to and participating in REITworld and related activities.Nareit will continue to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the CDC’s recommendations, and federal, state, and local requirements. Should any changes to the protocols be required prior to the meeting, an updated version protocol will be provided to all REITworld registrants.

 

As of Aug. 31, 2021:

  • In Clark County, NV, and at the Wynn Las Vegas, masks are required in all public spaces, including conference space. In accordance with these mandates, Nareit will require masks to be worn at all times in all conference spaces, including in all sessions, the REITPAC Suite, corporate member and sponsor suites, and the Networking Room, unless an individual is medically unable to comply or Clark County modifies its requirements.
  • Masks may be removed briefly to drink or to eat.
  • Attendees will be sent a digital health screening questionnaire daily.
  • Seating will be positioned to optimize social distancing in all conference sessions.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in front of all Nareit conference rooms, including all sessions, the REITPAC Suite, and the Networking Room.
  • Contactless registration will be available.
  • Masks, personal hand sanitizers, and sanitizing wipes will be available for conference participants at the Nareit registration desk.
  • Masks and sanitizing wipes will be provided in Nareit corporate member and sponsor meeting suites.
  • The Wynn Las Vegas has set up sanitizer stations throughout the hotel.
  • Attendees not willing to follow our COVID-19 guidelines will be asked to leave the conference and will not be given a refund for their conference registration.
  • Custom signage throughout the Wynn Las Vegas will remind attendees of required health and safety protocols and attendee behavior expectations.
  • Frequent room refreshes and cleanings will take place throughout the conference.

 

Nareit encourages all REITworld participants to remain aware of the latest  CDC recommendations related to health and safety and encourages all REITworld participants to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Ahead of your travels to REITworld, please follow local guidance and protocols, and adhere to airport and airline requirements during your journey to the conference. 

 By registering for REITworld, you represent that you have read and will abide by Nareit’s health and safety protocols as listed above (or, if applicable, as later updated) while participating in REITworld and associated activities. You agree that you will not attend REITworld or have in-person contact with the Nareit’s employees unless (1) you do not have symptoms of COVID-19, (2) if unvaccinated, have not had a close contact with a COVID-19 case in the prior 14-day period, and (3) you are able truthfully and accurately respond to the Nareit’s health screening questionnaire with responses that indicate your attendance does not pose a heightened risk to yourself or other. In addition to all other rules relating to your attendance at REITworld, you agree to comply with all COVID-related laws, guidelines, protocols, or procedures that may be implemented by Nareit, the federal/state/local government, and the venue as applicable at the time of REITworld, in order to protect as much as possible the health and safety of all attendees, including directives for frequent hand washing, social distancing and use of face masks. You agree that if you experience any symptoms associated with COVID-19 during your attendance at REITworld, you will inform Nareit staff as soon as reasonably possible and depart REITworld. 

 ASSUMPTION OF RISK: You have read and understood the above warnings concerning COVID-19 and you are familiar with the health risks from COVID-19 infections.You understand that Nareit’s health and safety protocols for REITworld 2021 do not include mandatory vaccination against COVID-19 or mandatory COVID-19 testing.By registering for REITwolrd 2021, you hereby choose to accept the risks of in-person attendance at REITworld and any associated activities in which you choose to participate.
